Courthouse Tunnel is one of a series of models, all based on existing
structures in Belfast serve to donate collectively how infrastructure
and the built environment serve to delineate and even dictate a cities
political dynamic on a local scale.

There is an underground tunnel that connects the former Criminal Court
with the former Remand Prison on the Crumlin Rd. All the big political
trials were held here, but prisoners remained unseen and would not see
the light of day as they were led from the cells to the dock.
